Horizon Aero Group Limited (HAG), the incoming owner of Gloucestershire Airport Limited (GAL), has unveiled a comprehensive Social Value Charter designed to transform the airport into a thriving, sustainable and inclusive regional hub. The charter embeds measurable social, economic and environmental benefits for Gloucestershire and the wider region as HAG progresses toward acquisition from Gloucester City Council and Cheltenham Borough Council.

The approach is guided by six core principles focused on: skills & employment, regional growth, community & culture, health, safety & wellbeing, environmental stewardship, and responsible procurement. Early commitments include a year-one public review of jobs, suppliers, emissions and accessibility; quarterly stakeholder forums; a procurement policy refresh; apprenticeships and internships within 12 months; and sourcing at least 30% of electricity from renewables by the end of year three.
